Pomino

The first few months of the year were marked by quite significant rainfall, which provided the vineyards with an excellent water supply from the outset. During the second half of April, there was a sharp drop in temperatures, which rose again in May. The fruit set was perfect and benefited from dry and slightly windy conditions. Thanks to the exceptional weather in May/June, the plants were perfectly healthy, resulting in wonderful fruit development and grape growth. The total lack of rainfall during the harvesting period resulted in a fantastic harvest with perfectly aromatic and wholesome grapes.

Wine Variety: Predominantly Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco, with small quantities of complimentary varieties
Maturation: wooden barrels (partially)
Alcohol content: 12.5%

Vinification and ageing: The grapes were harvested with the utmost care and attention. The care taken in the vineyard and subsequent processing at the cellar helped to ensure outstanding quality. From the moment they arrived at the cellar, the grapes and, consequently, the musts were processed, with exposure to oxygen kept to a minimum. The pressing cycles were selected to ensure gentle extraction of the musts. Alcoholic fermentation took place in steel tanks and, partially, in French oak barriques, all at a controlled temperature. At the end of production, Pomino Bianco was left to age in the bottle. Only after this subsequent period was the wine ready to tantalise taste buds with its structure and explosive freshness.

Organoleptic Notes: Pomino bianco 2021 is a white with a marvellous, bright straw-yellow colour. The nose reveals citrus notes like citron, as well as hints of green apple and pear. Floral notes include wisteria, chamomile, lily and gorse. Finally, there is a delicate sensation of exotic fruit, like pineapple. On the palate, it is beautifully fresh with a splendid mineral quality. This exceptionally balanced wine is fresh and fulfilling, with tastes and smells that correspond beautifully.
Available formats: 75 cl; 1.5 L (Magnum)
