Terre More

Maremma Toscana Cabernet DOC

Terre More is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, with small quantities of Merlot and Syrah. Elegant and intense, it has a modern flavour without losing its connection to the territory it represents.

Tasting notes

The 2019 growing season varied greatly. After a harsh, dry winter, the plants began growing very early, starting in March. A cold, rainy period followed, which slowed down the growth of the vines slightly but resulted in the water reserves being restored in preparation for what was to be a hot, and on some days extremely hot, summer. The vineyards reacted well and when it came time to harvest the grapes, they were were in great physiological shape. The decent weather conditions during summer resulted in very healthy grapes with excellent phenolic ripeness, which, while ripening, developed exquisite aromas.

Wine Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, with small quantities of Merlot and Syrah

Maturation: aged in wooden barriques

Alcohol content: 13,5 %

Vinification and ageing: The grapes were carefully harvested and delivered to the cellar. Afterwards, they were de-stemmed and mashed in steel tanks. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature. The wine was then aged in second- and third-passage French oak barriques. The subsequent bottle-ageing period enabled the wine to develop balance and fulfil every ounce of its potential.

Organoleptic Notes: Terre More 2019 has a bright, intense and full-bodied ruby-red colour. The bouquet is elegant and complex, with fruity hints of blackberry and plum immediately apparent. Mediterranean aromas, including hints of juniper and myrtle, soon emerge. Last but not least, scents of coffee bean and liquorice appear before vanilla rounds things off. The attack is utterly splendid, with silky-smooth tannins that caress the palate. Soft and fresh. The finish is long and it has a fruity after-taste.

Available formats: 0,75 l
